Ingrid Vanderveldt is the Entrepreneur-in-Residence (“EIR”) for Dell Inc., the leading technology solution company for entrepreneurs and business owners.
A serial entrepreneur, Ingrid’s mission is to align her business, policy and media initiatives towards a goal of “Empowering a Billion Women by 2020”. She believes entrepreneurial activity via access to people, technology and capital is the answer. She is focused on working with global thought leaders and corporations to achieve this goal. In line with Dell’s focus to listen to the market and develop solutions based on that interaction, Ingrid’s primary role as EIR is to create a bridge between the outside-in. Her three areas of focus are:
1) ADVICE/ACCESS on strategic business and technology opportunities;
2) EXPOSURE for initiatives important to Dell and its constituencies through involvement in media and related policy initiatives and
3) ACTION by creating opportunities in the EIR program for entrepreneurs and business owners to engage with Dell.
Ingrid is most recently CEO of VH2 Energy Investments (including Green Girl Energy) and Founding Organizer of the GLASS Forum (Global Leadership & Sustainable Success) for women. She is a seasoned entrepreneur, business television personality and a passionate advocate for WOMEN + GREEN sustainability initiatives. Ingrid has designed and executed corporate, entrepreneurial and philanthropic programs to advance the economic success of women-owned and green-focused businesses and has worked with companies including Microsoft, Dell, Humana and SAIC. Ingrid created and hosted CNBC’s first original primetime series, American Made reaching over one million viewers around the globe and has hosted the Web shows On the Road with iV and the Road to SXSW 2010.
Ingrid serves on the Advisory Boards of SXSW Eco, World Blu, Current Motor, the Young Entrepreneur Council and Visionary Holdings. She advises and supports Richard Branson’s Carbon War Room, XPRIZE, is a co-founder of The Billionaire Girls Club and is an invited member of the Dell Women’s Entrepreneur Network (DWEN).
She has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, New York Times, Inc. Magazine, Today Show, and The Big Idea. She is the developer of patent for a “System for dynamic data-mining and on-line communication of customized information.”
Ingrid grew up around technology and has a Master’s in Architecture and an MBA in Entrepreneurship.
